At Vero, our priority is the health and wellbeing of our travelers, employees and the communities we serve. With a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the United States, there is a limited supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) for nurses and healthcare professionals across the country. PPE enhances the safety of our Healthcare Heroes so they can keep caring for our loved ones. To support these efforts, we’ve recently donated $500 to the following organizations Direct Relief, Get Us PPE, and UCSD foundation. We chose to contribute to these organizations because they have made significant strides in distributing essential PPE equipment and other resources to the healthcare community.
Direct Relief
As everything is contracting, Direct Relief is expanding its coronavirus response efforts through the large-scale provision of PPE and other medical essentials. Direct Relief maintains an emergency stockpile and, whenever possible, prepositions emergency caches of essentials that are likely to be needed immediately and can help avert or reduce the health effects of an emergency.

They advocate for immediate action to expedite manufacturing worldwide, unite the maker community to validate and share PPE designs and leverage a large network of partners and volunteers to facilitate safe and efficient delivery of supplies.

We encourage others to help by donating supplies or contributions to these organizations as well so that our frontline workers can have the equipment they need to fight COVID-19. We are all in this together.
