Why did you decide on healthcare recruiting as your career?
I stumbled on the industry by accident. But once involved I realized this is one of the best ways to contribute to quality healthcare. Finding highly qualified candidates to take care of very sick patients and families. I have been in this industry for 17 years this September.
Tell us about your experience working with Vero RN.
I am one of the Founding Members. I left and now have returned. It is a great place to work.
What differentiates Vero RN and you as a recruiter?
One of the core standards is putting our nurses first. So, we deal with each nurse individually. We know there is no one size fits all approach to Healthcare staffing and supporting our travelers. What differentiates me from other recruiters, is I look at my role as an advisor. Most travelers have goals in mind, such as paying off bills, sending kids to college, retiring early, and seeing the world. I am lucky to be able to help them layout employment choices that help them reach those goals. I want to hear your fears and about your bad days. I want to know when you paid off the credit card bill or took that trip you worked hard for. I know to hit some of these goals you may need to work with some of my colleagues. No problem. I want all travelers to be successful.
What are the most exciting & challenging parts of healthcare? Helping undervalued healthcare workers.
In your opinion, what can a Travel Nurse do to land their dream assignment?
